1st Day: Monastir

Early in the morning in Germany at the airport. The mood was good and we're about to start.

Our first vacation together.

The outward flight was close to landing with heavy turbulence (due to thunderstorms), even the crew looked scared and I was sweaty - We'll never forget that.

 We landed in Enfidha Hammamet Airport, about an hour from our Ramada Liberty Resort in Skanes.

We checked in and went straight to Monastir.

Qaraiya Beach

Lots of locals and couples hang out here on the rocks.

Let's look at Monastir.

Ribat

The Ribat is a film set of the life of brian and also the oldest Ribat. Its an Islamic defensive structure.

The cemetery was left and right in brilliant white.

And here is the former Tunisian President Habib Bourguiba is buried. Inside is an informative and beautiful museum.

Bourguiba Mosque

 Yes, the first day after a tiring flight was quite good. We still have a lot to do and are excited to see what awaits us.
