4th Day: Kathu Waterfall & spicy food...Quak!

Updated: Feb 5

Since the sun was easy to see today, we wanted to swim first in the morning at the Kamala Beach. Later we would like to go to the Kathu waterfall to take some Long exposure photos, hike a little and maybe

swim there again.

Kamala Beach

After 2.5 hours drove to the Kathu waterfall. We were really looking forward to it, especially the cool water and nature.

Kathu Waterfall

Yes, there wasn't much waterfall to be seen, because it was the wrong time of year for it. Better in the rainy season. It wasn't enough for me for long-term pics either. So we wandered around a little.

Creek / Mafai-farang

They are edible fruits, about 2-5cm tall. Very tasty and can be used for many things in the kitchen, but unfortunately the tree is almost 12m high.

Jungle / Millipede

And here again very majestically at a height of almost 5m between 2 trees, my favorite species of spider.

Silk Orb Weaver

It was not easy to photograph them at high altitudes in light winds. It took me a long time and it was warm and humid. The lens had fogged up several times...

I was able to photograph a smaller one at a height of 1.60m. I almost walked into the net because i wasn't expecting the species that deep...you really have to be careful.

Ok, so much in nature and now to eat and shop. We love that too.

Phuket Town Market

It all looks so delicious and yes it is also delicious but spicy...spicy!!

We had to look for something that wasn't so spicy, because in the humid heat of Thailand, for Germans, it is anything but a "walk" to eat spicy. You sweated even more and the spicyness lasted 10 minutes.

I found something vegetarian that looked harmless to me. Wrapped in a sheet...what can that do.

Fish Grilled in a Banana Leaf

Yeah...that was the final boss of the spicy wrapped in a posed sheet. The pain lasted 30 minutes...

I must have lost 5 kg. I drank almost 2 liters of water during that time.

It had started to rain and it was cooling down a bit...what a blessing.

Something sweet helped.

Sweeeet!!

Nice Shirts

The thunderstorm got worse and we decided to go home in time. But it was also a long day, beautiful with nature and good...everything spicy has to be out again.

Cheers!

That night...that night it was hard to fall asleep because there were a few more frogs croaking. That was really, really loud and it seemed like they were talking. One quacked, then the other, and so it always went alternately.

So I went downstairs and looked for the frogs, UV lamp with me too - maybe I'll find scorpions on the system by the pool by the way. I shined the tree...

Millipede

After a few minutes the young employee stood behind me and I told him what I was doing here. He said that he had already brought the frogs somewhere far away so that they could not come back and he sealed the facility off. I looked at him, he looked at me and said:...they came back! I had to laugh because he said it so helplessly somehow - I really took him into my heart.

We found a frog!

Quak!

Is he not cute!? We went back to the room, closed the windows and left nature as it is.
