Bei Fehlen einer Holotypus-Festlegung ist jedes derartige Exemplar für die nachträgliche Festlegung als namenstragender Typus (Lectotypus) wählbar; solange eine Lectotypus-Festlegung nicht erfolgt ist, gelten alle Exemplare der Typus-Serie als Syntypen,und sie stellen in ihrer Gesamtheit den namenstragenden Typus dar. Von der Typus-Serie ausgeschlossen sind sämtliche weiteren Stücke, die der ursprüngliche Autor ausdrücklich ausgeschlossen, bestimmten Varianten zugeordnet oder unter Zweifeln in das Taxon einbezogen hat
