1st & 2nd Day: Tajine & a Waterfall

Updated: Feb 5

Finally in Morocco! The land of 1000 landscapes, Marrakech, Rabat...Casablanca and the desert regions as well as the Atlas Mountains are worth a trip. But also much more...you can visit Morocco more often. This is the first of 2 vacations here. There will be a lot of scorpions to see, among other things.

For every trip I always buy a perfume in the duty free shop that suits the country. It is applied more often every day. The point of this is that I have a real flashback at home when I apply the fragrance and can remember some things and experience again. I chose Diesel - Only the Brave. It smells fresh, oriental and sweet-fruity. Perfect!

We had our hotel in Agadir on the coast. It was already evening and we went to the promenade. There is a lot going on here in the evening. The locals meet here from young to old and sit down...some dance too. Very nice atmosphere.

Our stay was exactly at the time of Ramadan and only at certain times you could buy alcohol in selected shops. I am a beer tester and I would also like to test Moroccan beer.

We booked a car directly through our hotel Les Palmiers for the whole week starting tomorrow. Tomorrow morning the landlord should come and give us the car.

Agadir

Our first tajine on the Agadir coast.

Tajine

We went to bed early for...

2nd Day: Imouzzer Waterfall:

The rental company from Kouissa Cars arrived very punctually and gave us a Ps strong Honda Accent limousine. Very nice car. The car was fully insured through the hotel. We checked the car and Mr. Drissi recorded all the defects, he was really cool.

After the check there was a small breakfast in the hotel. A sweet piece of fruit. Baguette and jam, plus coffee and tea. That’s enough for us.

Wow! Let's go through Morocco.

Donkey

Camel spider

The camel spider is a very nimble, depending on the species, very large but non-venomous spider species. But you shouldn't let yourself be bitten. A very interesting species of arachnid and a plague for soldiers in the desert.

You have to walk a short way to the waterfall, it is sometimes a bit narrow and you pass a few shops...

Imouzzer Waterfall

Yes, it wasn't a lot of waterfall but geologically very interesting and photographically it was really fun.

Oleander

Through the mountains...

We made a short stop and turned a few stones.

Scorpion

The higher you go, the darker the earth and rocks get. The tree species change every now and then with a few kilometers. Palms, bushes...then conifers. Very varied.

We drove to Taroudant. The serpentine ends here.

There are scorpions here too. A molt under a stone.

Taroudant is an oasis city and is also called the grandmother of Marrakesh.

Taroudant

Against the evening on the promenade of Agadir and a little Moroccan alcohol & Tajine.

The day was great!
